Who am I?

After completing scientific training, followed by the Sciences Po School of Political Science, I began my professional career at Arthur Andersen. There, I learned the ropes of an extremely interesting field, before beginning my new adventure with Accuracy in 2004.

Why Accuracy?

In late 2004, all of the right factors for the creation of a new company seemed to be present: a need expressed by the market for an independent player, a promising economic environment, work colleagues in whom I had total confidence, and, of course, the sheer enthusiasm to start a new company. It's very rare to be able to experience such fantastic moments of freedom, discovery and sharing.

Our business activity is a difficult one. It requires us to constantly question what we are doing. This ensures that we remain humble. In this exciting adventure, only one thing is certain, and it's something we can be very proud of: Accuracy’s founders have never betrayed their ideals and their ambitions, i.e. they continue to work together and with others to build the company of their dreams.

My work

I work a great deal with industrial clients, whose commonality is that they all manufacture extremely technical products. This concerns the aeronautical, rail, medical and energy production sectors. Very often, from a financial viewpoint these activities involve the long-term management of contracts. The complexity of these activities and their special accounting and financial characteristics mean that I regularly work in the transactional and dispute management/litigation fields.

This perimeter is in no way restrictive, as our clients are seeking both financial expertise and the capacity to manage a project involving several points of contact. What this involves in practice is understanding, analysing, and summarising financial information, while simultaneously ensuring that our analyses include information from a wide range of contacts (lawyers, engineers and bankers, etc). The sheer magic of this business lies in the fact that we need to be sufficiently versatile in order to understand issues and to be understood by the other participants while at the same time being fully familiar with financial language and techniques. In reality, I devote around three quarters of my time working alongside our teams and our clients on assignments, and the rest of the time managing Accuracy’s future expansion.
I also handle training within the company. This is chiefly a development and coordination role, as all "Accuracians" are involved in training younger team members at some time or another. There's no better way to learn than to clearly state and explain everything you have already understood!

My favourite project

I could mention so many of them! In fact this could be any project in which our client has opened their doors to us and allowed us to fully share, not only in their planning, but also their concerns. This demonstration of trust and confidence in us is often expressed during difficult circumstances for our clients, including high-risk acquisitions, make-or-break disputes and litigation or companies in difficulty, etc. These are exciting projects, and I always feel an immense sense of gratitude to those who choose to share them with us.

My advice to candidates

After their studies, graduates often hesitate when it comes to accepting their first job. They set a number of short-term goals, and are influenced by the starting salary and the inevitable fashions, fads, etc. I would encourage applicants to look forward several years and to be completely honest about their underlying career goals. It is this level of maturity that makes it possible to understand and appreciate the Accuracy concept, and this is precisely what we are seeking in our consultants.
