Why Accuracy?

While I was scanning through all job opportunities, I came across Accuracy and I was immediately interested in finding out more about the company since it perfectly matched my aspirations. Accuracy is a large company but still not as large as the Big 4 giving the opportunity to work in a more flexible environment. Going through the interviews I became even more convinced, understanding that Accuracy is a company made of professionals who work in a friendly and inspiring atmosphere.

My work

My work can be extremely varied and this is what I like the most about it. With a common solid base of hard skills we are requested to face many different situations: I have already taken part in some Buy Side Due Diligences, a Royalty Audit, implementation of performance management, valuation and various other projects. Every project I took part in taught me something useful for facing new upcoming situations in my future career.

My favourite project

So far I can’t say I have a favourite project because somehow I liked them all. After working long hours for a client you end up becoming very committed to what you are doing and in the end you feel like there is  a little piece of you in the project. Anyway if I had to pick one as an example I would indicate a project where we were advisors of the seller of a quite famous luxury shoes company. Within this project we carried out many different activities ranging from being intermediates between the company and a team of auditors engaged by the buyer, performing a forecast of the performance of the company until the end of the year and in the end calculating price adjustments of the transaction. This project allowed me to have a clear picture of the activities which have to be done in the context of the closing of a transaction.

My advice to candidates

My advice to candidates is to be themselves and show they really like the job they are applying for during the interview. In Accuracy, transparency and enthusiasm are highly appreciated. From a hard skills point of view, of course a solid corporate finance base would be a plus but what I think is most important is to be able to reason critically and try to apply your knowledge to figuring out issues never encountered before.
