Who am I?

I joined Accuracy in August 2012 upon graduating with a Master in Finance from Grenoble Graduate School of Business. Prior to my studies in France I completed a Bachelor in International Business at Maastricht University and spent one semester abroad in Hong Kong.

Throughout my studies I was able to gain valuable experience in Mergers & Acquisitions at a major French bank as well as in the Controlling department of a US multinational.

Why Accuracy?

Having spent a significant part of my studies abroad, the plan was to launch my career in an equally diverse and international environment. On top of that, I saw the opportunity to develop a multidimensional set of technical skills as Accuracy enables its employees to work on the full range of assignments along its five integrated business lines. The combination of continuous technical training, the dynamic, international environment and the unique corporate identity are integral parts of Accuracy and were crucial in my decision to join the team.

My work

…is not easy to define in a few lines as Accuracy fosters a culture of encouraging its employees to take on as much responsibility as they are confident in handling. Tasks are not necessarily assigned by position but according to the individual strengths of team members. Conversely, if I have the feeling that I lack a specific skill, I can openly communicate it to my team members. I will then be provided with the opportunity to work in the respective area during upcoming projects. Given the flat hierarchy I am able to share ideas with the team, thereby actively contributing to the growth and success of Accuracy as a whole.

My favourite project

Our client was the owner of an international consumer retail company that was undergoing a significant restructuring program at the time. On behalf of our client we assisted in preparing the required restructuring documentation, provided relevant input for a monitoring tool to control the implementation of the program and created several reports which are now used for internal controlling reporting purposes.

The Accuracy team consisted of professionals from both France and Germany which spent most of the time at the target’s site, liaising with local accounting, controlling and investor relation staff. I particularly enjoyed the continuous exposure to the target’s senior management which was involved throughout the entire project.

My advice to candidates

Accuracy is a unique company both in terms of the common spirit of its employees as well as the independence and flexibility that it offers to them. Much of the success and the growth of the company is built around the ability to foster great talent and, more importantly, the ability to retain it. We are looking for people who are ready to walk the extra mile, not because they want to be compensated for it, but because they share a genuine passion for the firm. Accuracy is still a project whose success hinges on the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of everyone who is part of the team. Thus, two key qualities you should have is the curiosity and patience to see how today’s effort translates into tomorrow’s success.

Anything to add?

Accuracy provides plenty of opportunities to get involved outside the perimeters of our everyday work. For example, Accur’Involved is an organisation that was founded to raise funds to help finance a local educational centre in Ecuador. The basic idea is to get involved not only in matters related to our clients and the engagements that contribute to our growth from an economic point of view but to dedicate some of our resources, skills and most importantly curiosity to matters beyond that. We are continuously looking for creative input on how to improve our efforts and we would be more than happy to hear about your ideas!
